In 2017, Jarrette was tinkering around with a website to allow the team in Bantayan to work on their dictionary. He felt very limited by the software installed on his computer. His colleague Rebecca and her team were working on the Kaqchikel Dictionary and were feeling the same way. So Jarrette traveled to visit Rebecca in Antigua, Guatemala, and spent a couple of weeks developing it even further. But it didn't get finished, and it continued to languish for the next few years.

Rebecca came up with a plan to get funding to help us get it off the ground. The Foundation for Endangered Languages believed in what we were doing and decided to help!

Thankfully, George joined the team and is making sure the software is well-designed, correctly implemented, and secure!
